does anyone know if any mini usb chargers are safe to use with the HTC Touch? I went from a krzr to a touch and I have all kinds of miniUSB chargers. just nervous to use them with my touch in fear of compromising battery reliability.
can anyone shed some light???

thanks

Look at the amperage on the charger compared to your oem one, they should be fine

The output rating on the chargers are key. If they put out the same thing, then there should not be an issue. As long as you are not going over the stock output that is.

This seems to come up every other day... maybe it's time to FAQ or Sticky the info.

the blackberry chargers have a lower output and from what i have been told are "safe" to use... i have only plugged mine in for one second (to my htc tytn) to see if it knew it was a charger, the razar charger did not work with my blackberry...cant remember if it was with the perl or my older 1 tho.
if you look on the plug for the charger it will have all the specifications of voltage and amps...just make sure they are equivalant or lower so you dont harm it. otherwise ide say its worth the $20 for pice of mind knowing you are using the proper charger and not gonna harm your device...just my 2 cents

my girlfriends moto car charger works perfectly with my tilt,I tested it like a month ago

I have used a RAZR wall charger, some generic *** china Car DC > USB charger, random computer mini USB cables, an Energizer branded 2xAA to mini-USB and the stock HTC charger with my HTC 6800 and haven't had a problem...
