Hello everyone,
I know that there are other posts asking the same question but those posts hasn't convinced me in one way or another. So here's my situation.
I am with fido so both phones would need to unlocked so warranty wise, it really doesn't matter. I own a macbook and thought that in terms of syncing my contacts, emails, calendar and what not, the iphone would be better. I don't mind listening to music but don't care about it too much. I am interested in trying out the blackberry push mail but I usually have my laptop so don't need it too much. I like the iphone b/c of the fact it's kewl and that there are a lot of stuff out there for it. And it doesn't seem like there will be a new iphone any time soon and so my question is why should i get the blackberry instead of the iphone?
Thanks in advance.

I would also like to add that I will not be getting a data plan. Therefore, even if I get push mail, it will only be at home or somewhere they have wifi. I guess if i like a lot, I would get the data plan but for now, without the data plan, which phone would you get?

The push email from BB is extremely addictive. I've got it on my E90, thru Rogers. If you dont need/plan on getting a data plan and dont need a corporate device(more stable, better email and contact management), get the iPhone.

i've been doing more research and reading up like crazy to make my decision and I am leaning more towards the iphone.
My main reasons are that it syncs heck of a lot better with my macbook and the fact to fully take advantage of the BB will need me to get a data plan which I do not want to unless I get a job that pays for it.
I thought that calendar and contact management on the iphone would be good...why is the bb's better?

I'm not sure on this, but it might be because you can just start typing on the homescreen to bring up your contacts. That makes things a lot easier that flicking through them. Not sure though.

BB's calendar and contact management is more advanced, offers more options and allows category syncing. Iphone is no where close to this, but is an excellent multimedia device. If you want a good multimedia device, Iphone it is. If you want an excellent email/PIM device, BB it is.

I realized that I would not use much of the multimedia device as I don't take the bus or the train. Why would I want to watch on an iphone when I can watch it on my big tv?
What I really need is the calendar function more than anything and I would go with the curve for sure if I knew that it will sync well with my macbook (ical, mail, etc). I know of pocketmac and missingsync. I heard that pocketmac sucks and missingsync, i gotta pay for...
I'm starting flip back and forth...
thanks for all the replies and more comments are welcomed
