I know that this has probably been talked about to death, but since I am kinda hard headed...I need someone to answer it again.

I am with At&T but LOVE the sidekicks. The only thing I need a phone for is basic phone calls and voicemail and texting. I don't send pictures or need the internet--or im. I like for my phone to have a calendar and alarm clock.

I have read that the web and other stuff does not work on the sidekick through AT&T, but the basic phone and texting features will.

I would assume that everything on the phone would work fine--I just wouldn't be able to connect to the internet or send picture messages.

Does anyone out there actually use the Sidekick on their AT&T network?

I dont actually use a sidekick on att but they dont come with an alarm clock. You have to purchase it. I wouldnt recommend getting one. You wouldnt really get the full sidekick experience which I enjoy. Besides with microsofts acquiring of danger they might be making a hiptop for them. Granted thats just speculation and rumors.

Oh ok...I didn't realize they bought them.

the sidekick isnt an amazing device, its actually very large and bulky for what it actually has and does.

the only reason why people really love it is its amazing dataplan. and if your not even utitlizing it....stick with your curve.

The Sidekick wont work on ATT because T-Mobile wont unlock them.

The kick doesn't have an "alarm clock" application, but you can set the phone for alarms daily, weekly, and monthly-- WITHOUT purchase of an alarm clock app.

I got my sk3 paid to have it unlocked and used it on Att. I paid $79 I'm sure you could find it for cheaper. If it's less than $50 it's probably phony. I wouldn't recommend doing this unless you can find a cheap sidekick. Mine was a low price of free, but I had to do some tittering around, buying a few new parts ect. I'd go with something else though if I were you, maybe an HTC slider?
