500 Text messages for $5?

I signed up with bell in January and only added the $3 for 30 text message plan. i realized that that would not be enough so i went on my phone (samsung r610) and went to the 'phone support' option, and added the $5/100 text message features.

I was under the impression that the $3/text plan would be replaced..however it was not! i got a bill and i got charged for both the $3/$5 features. I called customer service and the lady apologized and said she would put me on a $5/500 text message plan..

I cant find anything on the bell website that this feature exists. I tried logging onto bell.ca and tried to look at my account to see if this was indeed changed, however i cant seem to find it on their either.

so here are my concerns:
1) does $5 for 500 text messages exist?
2) what does pro-rated mean? she said it would be pro-rated for my next bill? does my new text plan start now? or do i have to wait till next billing period?
3) i am set up on pre authorized billing from my credit card, how do i change it to another credit card, without calling customer service?

thanks.

1) Yes it exists.

2) New plan starts the day that you spoke to the rep, unless she told you it was being future dated, or back dated. Pro rated, means that up to your next bill date, you wont have the full 500 texts, but you also wont get charged the full $5.

Same with your old text feature. You wont have the full amount available up to the day it was replaced, but you'll also get a credit for the unused portion.

3)Bell.ca through MyBell.

Is that available for prepaid? I have someone who is forced to use the 2500 plan because they use over 100 messages, but less than 500 per month.

Postpaid only at this point in time.
