Hi.
I don't know if this affects other carriers besides AT&T, but when these PDAs retrieve the time from the AT&T network, some time information is lost. This problem is not related to changing time to/from Daylight Savings Time, it is a problem regarding the PDA updating its clock from the cellular network.
Specifically, the Daylight Bias which tells the calendar the offset from GMT during Daylight Savings Time. My location is Oregon, USA. In my example below, my Daylight Bias changes from -60 to 0 after connecting to the AT&T network. The reason this is an issue is that some calendar entries honor the Daylight Bias and move to the wrong time when this information is lost.
To recreate this issue, I have a utility from a third party vendor to display the time settings in the operating system and follow the steps below:
1. Make sure phone is set to get time information from the network
2. Turn on Flight Mode
3. Change time zone from the current time zone to any other time zone and save time settings
4. Change time zone back to your time zone and save
5. Run utility and get time information:
standard date valid
Bias: 480
Standard Name: Pacific Standard Time
Standard Date: 1/11/0 2:0:0.0
Standard Bias: 0
Daylight Name: Pacific Daylight Time
Daylight Date: 2/3/0 2:0:0.0
Daylight Bias: -60
6. Turn off flight mode
7. Run utility and get time information:
standard date valid
Bias: 480
Standard Name:
Standard Date: 1/11/0 2:0:0.0
Standard Bias: 0
Daylight Name:
Daylight Date: 2/3/0 2:0:0.0
Daylight Bias: 0
NOTE: If you set the phone to NOT retrieve time from the network, you will not see the loss of time zone bias.
This issue does not affect Palm Treo 750s (WM5 and WM6) on AT&T's network.
Any insight to this is appreciated. Thx in advance!

it's an issue with Tilts reflashed with Kaiser firmware and bootloaders. In essence, it's probably a kaiser issue. A fix will probably make its way out of XDA soon enough.

Thank you for the reply, but all the PDAs have factory ROMs (were not re-flashed).
