hello,

so i just got this sidekick 3 but i have at&t, i have been trying to unlock this phone for the last couple of days trying to find free software to unlock it, does anyone know of any free software? or can anyone help me out with this? i understand there is no data due to the connection with the danger server but it wont matter since im using it for calls and text only. so could someone please help me with unlocking it??

aww this ? you need a dev key its free but you need to know java to get one check out dangers dev site

oh yeah ive gone to there website, ive researched it but either way my chances are slim of actually getting one, and would take a while before i can even make one since i dont know java or have the slightest idea on how to make anything isnt there another way? ive tried contacting tnobile but they wont give it to me no matter what the situation.

i also seem to have another problem the person on the other line cannot here me when i am speaking on my sidekick 3 is there anyway to fix this??

the easy way to do this is to join the danger dev site an pic up a good book on java learn it an create a app upload it for a key

well then how do most people unlock them?? i guess imma have to pay for the service. anyone know any cheap services that actually work

its not a dev key so dnt think you can go an get free stuff but it works no data jus voice an txt.

I paid $80 to have mine unlocked. I paid $50 for the phone, plus the $80 and sold it for $200 on ebay. Now I have one, I got for free that I just use as a back up phone for calls.
You can only unlock it to make calls and texts which is fine for some people but expect to pay 70 to 100 to have it unlocked. Believe me I've search for a free method. You could call t-mobile but i'm 99.9% sure they won't. They do every other phone but Danger devices.

just switch over to T-Mobile or get T-Mobile to go & keep your service with your current provider

hey i tried the tutorial, but i can only make calls, not even text... i don't really care about Data services, i just want call and text... help?
