It's not about being "locked down" as you put it. Some people (like myself) like the easy-to-use Danger OS! It just works without having to hack and mod the hell out of a device. I have owned several WM devices and it was just a pain in the *** to deal with those devices when I wanted to do something simple.

I'll admit WM5 and below wasn't perfect, but WM6 is near perfect IMO and is easy to use. Also realize that it might not be an average WM6 ROM. It might be differ, like how the HTC touch is differ and easy to use. Doesn't that sound better than having a company dictate whether you have to pay for ringtones, etc:? |
