All I get when i turn on my iphone are white letters one the screen and itunes doesn't detect my phone. Is there anything i can do or am I out of luck.

We need more information here. What did you do in ZiPhone? What firmware are you running? What version of ZiPhone? Did you upgrade your phone?

What are the white letters? Do they make words?

ziphone wont brick phones not sure what you did wrong. Try putting it into recovery mode or see if ibrickr will recognize it.

I think I fixed it. itunes is restoring it now. I jailbroke my 16GB with ziphone but decided to undo the jailbrake. When I clicked refurbish i noticed it was being downgraded to the 3.9 bootloader and i stopped the process and thats when i couldn't get rid of the white letters and itunes wasn't detecting the phone. What I did to fix it was hold the sleep and home buttons until i got the apple icon then let go of the sleep button and kept holding the home button until the itunes icon appeared. I thought I had a $500 paper weight for a minute there.

you should have read the ziphone instructions prior to playing with it. Ziphone downgrades your BL to 3.9. It is clearly written in the text file and it has been posted a few thousand times on Howard Forums.

People will never learn. I know your $500 16gb iPhone ce with the 4.6bl and you knew it too. It doesn't matter if you unlocked jailbreak with ziphone 2.5. You BL will get downgraded.

I have downgraded the bootloader on all of my iPhones. Its actually the first thing I do. I don't see why people are against it.

I think they're against it for warranty reasons. That's my concern anyway. If I was unlocked on t-mobile still I wouldn't care too much.

im not happy that my bootloader is now a 3.9 just for warranty probs , other than that its perfectly fine . I wonder if they will come up with a way to get it back to a 4.6 ?

What I'm about to write is going to piss a few off, but whatever...I'm just questioning whether or not WARRANTY can be a part of any justification how you hack your phone, as it's voided either way.

When you hack an iPhone, you void the warranty - Most people in here understand that. See, hacking is not 'illegal' or 'immoral'. I don't think there's a law that can actually prevent you from running your iPhone on a carrier that is not AT&T. Nor is there a law that prevents your from running your phone 'out of spec'. However, when you do this, you void your warranty. However, when you alter your phone or change something that voids the warranty, then try to get warranty service, you are lying. That *is* immoral, as you DID hack your phone and you DID void your warranty. I understand these are $400+ units that you're using, but I'm sure you realized that when you got into the game.

Well said! The iPhone gets boring without jailbreak, take the risk and see the full potential and use all of the $400 you spent!
