Ok, I'm new to this forum. So far I've read the sticky at: http://howardforums.com/showthread....45&page=1&pp=15

First, off I'm wondering if by un-branding my phone (SE w580i) will it screw up anything with the text messaging/calling?
Secondly, I'm on a contract with at&t and was wondering if un-branding would mess with that.
Thirdly, what are some of the positives of un-branding it?
There's a couple of more questions that I have but, i'll wait to see what the answers to these are.
Thanks for the help.

following that debranding tutorial, you will replace the north american firmware with an Asian one. AT&T can claim that you changed the firmware and refuse warranty (but unlikely).

Alternatively you can debrand by removing/replacing/enabling/disabling specific features or games on the phone without changing anything else.

Hmm interesting. How would I de-brand by just unlocking specific features?
Thanks for the replies

use XS++ or FAR manager to add/remove/replace preloaded games, apps, startup/shutdown screens

Also enable/disable data counter, tech mode, MP3 ringtone, flash theme, camera shutter sound effect... by modifying customize.xml , or adding customize_upgrade.xml and copy it onto the phone using the above-mentioned programs.

Ok, Can you post links to those programs, or should I just google them?
Are there any tutorials of how to use those programs?

Thanks for the help.
