Overclocking increases your processor speed which increases the heat of your phone, thus greatly decreasing the life of your phone and probably voiding your warranty. I really don't think it's necassary, compared to other phones, the iphone runs DAMN smooth. Sure it lags at times, but it greatly surpasses any other phone in the GUI (that I know of)
