Nothing gets my blood boiling more than tailgaters!

Posted by: BlueCalx

wow to that video.. It's lucky for both of those guys that one of them didn't have a gun. Esp. lucky for the guy who came up to the outside of the car's window. I'd have had a gun handy...

Lolz..
"Do you want me to keep filming?"
xD

I keep a knife on my visor for times like this. No guns though, that can't end well.

I don't understand road rage...
If I got upset at every ding bat I encounter on the road, I'd put myself into an early grave!

Haha, I haven't heard anyone but my Dad use the term "ding bat." It's classic.

I go through phases of eagerness to kill everyone on the road. One week I'm peaceful and courteous, the next I'm waving my middle finger at every driver who looks at me.

What happened in the video exactly? The dude in the car was the one being tailgated or the tailgater?

People are crazy on the road. I'm a fast driver, so when a car is going slow in front of me, I either pass or slow down. No sense driving all close up on them.
Although I tried to pass a guy one time, and he sped up and then slowed back down when i got back behind him. That kind of pissed me off, and made me even matter that he had his children in the back, unbelted, looking back at me to see if i was going to pull out the shotgun i keep under my seat and kill them all. But not really.

Yeah, I would like to know who the person at fault was.

My favourite part was the camera man obviously in fear of being told to get out of the vehicle. Lol. Just watching the movements of the camera. I'd freak out too.

ugh. Strange because I had someone tailing me tonight to... then she also TAPPED MY CAR. My god I was furious. I did nothing though and nothing seemed to happen to my baby... my god I was boiling. To make it worse, she shouted something like "you have plenty of room! move up!" It was stop and go traffic. Are you kidding me.

ugh. She is lucky my mother was in the car.

Something like this happened to me once, only it was after the guy had caused an accident.

I was coming along lougheed coming up to gilmore doing about 60 in a right hand collector lane(those of you who know the greater vancouver area..) when a honda civic hatch type R came flying past me on the left and cut in front of me right before a right turn barrier/curb. He Slammed on the brakes to make the right turn, I couldn't stop in time and rear ended him. He lost control, went over the right hand collector (lost radiator and bumper), then over the left turn barrier (lost driver front tire) and slammed into a car waiting to make a left turn.

The guy literally jumped out and started yelling at me. I asked him why he was in such a hurry and he kept up the yelling,I basically said lets rescue the guy who you just broadsided. Luckily there were multiple witnesses and a cop. He was 100% at fault.

Usually the idiots on the road don't bother me too much. I just remeber that 99.95% of the people on the roads are morons. The other 5% are absolute morons! Just keep that in mind and expect them to do the stupidest, dumbest thing at the worst possible time and you'll minimize the times you're suprised by them.

I drive slightly fast and sometimes aggressively (I'll never be mistaken for an old man behind the wheel ). I don't use my horn or flip people off however. I will wave to an idiot who has pissed me off however (while saying something like... "it's not your fault you're a moron").

Unless I have to brake or swerve to avoid an impact, I really don't get mad at anyone while driving. I try to be nice and let people merge or pass whenever possible. You never know... that person ahead of you that has pissed you off by driving slow might be a elderly person or a pregnant lady. I'd hate to get all mad at someone for not going fast enough or whatever and then realize they were just doing the best they could.

Getting mad just doesn't solve anything.

And tailgaiters don't bother me much either. I sudden downshift without braking will usually clear them away.

And I feel you pain TheOne. Something similar almost happened to me except I managed to brake hard enough to avoid the impact (barely!). If I hadn't slid too far thru the intersection to pursue them, I would have done something very, VERY bad.

I don't get too mad at people tailgating me, but one day I was a little annoyed when driving on a Farm and Market road between two towns. Everyone was doing 60 like on the freeway, and this one chick was behind me in a plain Civic and I'm sure she was pretty much on my *** because I could see her face clearly and not the front end of her car. Well I thought it would be funny to tap my brake really fast so my lights could come on. She hit hers and swerved to the next lane and ended up behind the car next to me.

I didn't know they sold Type R Civic hatches in Canada. But I digress; DAMN RICER! He failed at a ricer flyby.

I try to remember that people are crazy nowadays so you really need to just let it go. There are always times though that I just honestly can't help myself and I'm sure one day someone will flip out. Sometimes it's just fun to leave the random ricer econobox in the dust though. More so depending on which car I happen to be driving..my aunt's Avalon has a 280HP 3.5L V6 under the hood which makes it quite the sleeper .

The good part about the moronic drivers? It really makes me appreciate those who signal, keep their distance, and say thanks if you let them get into your lane when it's busy.

DAH! I hate idiots, and it just so happens around Chicago, there are a LOT of them!

I am by no means a slow driver, if the speed limit is 70, I'll stay around 80, hardly ever any quicker than that, and it's amazing how many people are in such a damned hurry. It's called leave your house earlier if you really need to be somewhere.

The only other thing that irritates me is when people will see a line of traffic for an exit and speed up and just cut right in front of someone on the ramp. hello, you aren't special, wait your turn dangit. People like that are what cause traffic jams in the first place because they can't follow road signs.
