Stylus not working?

I can not for the life of me get my stylus to work on my tilt. this is my first touch device but im sure its not hard. i can tap the screen and im fine but when i go to use the stylus it wont respond. could i have disabled something by accident?

that doesnt make any sense... 
It's not like it's heat sensitive or something... any tap should work.. the stylus, your fingernail.. a pen...
Try re-aligning the screen agian

mine did the same thing, simply power down and remove the battery and then replace the battery and turn on, mine quit working when apllying a screen protector.

Mine is finicky as well. I can tap tap tap and nothing will happen and then for hours it will be just fine. Weird.
