update software message on boot

We have two Sprint Moto Razr V3-m phones. Both of them display the message "A new software version is available for your phone. Would you like to continue?" When you answer "yes", the message disappears and no update takes place. Sometimes, the message will not go off until I hit the red button repeatedly. Also, I checked online using Motorola Software update and no update is available. Help.
