Flashing Blue k850i - Which FW to use?

hi, i was reading up on esato about the k850 and apparently alot of people on the 031 FW(the one i currently have) are getting the "blue ring of death" where the keypad/camera ring on the back just light up but the phone is basically completely bricked and cannot be turned off unless u pull the battery. The only way to fix this was to reflash the phone using davinci, etc...

So anyways, i was getting a little worried since im on the 031 fw also... so just incase this happens to my k850 i want to know which FW would i need to flash my phone with? does it matter which kind it is? like(nordic, americas, western-europe, etc...)?

I was looking back at the list of 037 FW on davinci but sorta puzzled on which one would i flash with.

my k850 is velvet blue btw, unlocked/unbranded(not rogers)...thanks

Hi,
I use the R1CA037 firmware, and have never had any camera or phone related problems..............So far!!

My phone is sim free/unlocked.

I would like to know also, I got "BROD" and SE want to charge me $100 to reflash...

Whats BROD?

Either way you should be able to re-flash it yourself by using either www.Watonserver.com or http://www.davinciteam.co.uk/index.html. These two only charge about $10. Download the firmware and do it yourself.

I used davinci and have had no problems what so ever.
To be exact I used
K850i R1EA031 CID52 K850 1206-0882 CUSTOMIZED ID/ VELVET BLUE APAC-ANZ

And have had 0 problems and only 1 reset (i was listen to music, surfing and got an incoming video call)

I was able to flash using http://www.kulankendi.com/index2.php
"BROD" Blue Ring of Death (The blue ring light on the camera side keep flashing)

Now it is working fine.
My k850i was a simple chinese version, and I have flash it to Taiwan Traditional Chinese version, cost me 8 euro.

That is Indonesia though, right? Where's the latest NAM, EU or UK firmware on Davinci? I have not been able to find them. Did they just not upload them yet?

I tried installing K850i R1DA038 CID52 but my phone battery would only last 1 day. K850i R1DA039 CID52 is for 3 only. So I reverted back to K850i R1DA037 CID52 and will wait for the next UK firmware.

they all have english so its all the same to me

I want Spanish along with English though. Western Europe or NAM should have both. Although the one I have now is pretty good, just no Spanish.

I just used SEUS to update and discovered it's Adriatic firmware I have on one, and I think APAC on the other. I think I'll just keep what I have, like Kavy. Interesting language choices. I just wish there was a way to add a Spanish language pack and then I'm done, LOL!

is there a way to check for sure? but i think it was nordic when i updated to R1EA031 using seus. I live in toronto
