Do you have bi-weekly meetings?

I'm curious as to how many stores actually have meetings and which day they are held on in your store.

We've recently been required to attend bi-weekly meetings on Friday morning and am curious if this is a company wide thing, or is it a district/market thing.

No smart comments please, I know meetings are important (sometimes), but I'm really curious about this...

Just Saturday morning meetings and conference calls.

Just about every other Saturday we come in at 8 am for a store meeting before we open at 9am.

We have a meeting every Saturday at 8am. Store opens at 9am.

We have meetings on Saturdays. But we split it up, The morning shift has their meeting before opening the closing shift has the meeting right before their shift starts.

Our store has one Saturday meeting a month.

Every Wednesday morning for me which stinks because its my scheduled day off.

We have a meeting every Saturday at 8:15am. We negotiated the 15 mins later thing . It actually makes quite a difference. I commute 40 miles to work every day and every minute counts when your waking up at 6am or earlier. it sucks waking up so early on saturdays but once im at the meeting I'm fine, its pretty fun in our meetings because of all the random things the crew is talking about. we're quite the lively bunch.

Meetings are always fun. I know how you feel spitfiya, I travel 35 miles to works as well, but for me its all highway. The meetings I go to are at a different location which sucks because its all bumper to bumper traffic with a 35ph speed limit.

just sick of the conference calls. in my market all they seem to talk about how bad we suck. At the very hint of something positive the dos or vp gets on and kills the nice comments

and is this supposed to improve employee morale? i always thought that positive reinforcement was the way to improve performance. but hey, what do i know? i guess thats why im not a manager.

Yeah the conference calls in my area basically tell the reps that they suck too. If you do well, they barely mention it. If you do bad the ARSM calls you out, and if your answer isn't good enough he rips you in two. I am lucky not to be included, but I have heard a lot of crap.

The thing is for me, I don't understand. Being belittled by a higher up shouldn't be your motivation, your money should be your motivation. There isn't something they could tell me to make me want to sell more than I already do. With me, my paycheck is what I work for, and I don't care about positive or negative reinforcement. The only positive enforcement I need is in dollars.

I travel 70 miles to work everyday - on the interstate mostly, and we almost never have meetings. Maybe like... 2 times every 3 months or so.

Does anyone else have "mandatory meetings"? If you could give your market, it would be extremely helpful to us!!

MNP has the every sat at 8am same old **** different week meeting.

PA/NJ/DE market here. In my store (or my soon-to-be old store) we hold meetings every 2 weeks. Same isht, same toilet. It'll probably be that way at my new store too...

The Friday meetings are a waist of time!!! Im sick of them just like the rest of the rsc's. My manager says he/she wants to switch them to Saturdays but our DOS wont let him . And our DOS has it out for the union and thats why we have them on Fridays.

Oh my market Philly

It seems the Philly market has meetings on Friday mornings, but most of the rest of the country has them on Saturdays (which is what the content is called on CSP). Wonder why this one market is going against what seems a corporate directive on meetings....
