Looks like you're using T-Mobile for the carrier which could make the price tag up there youre look at either the European unbranded Centro or ATT Centro at full price so finding one cheap at this time is a bit difficult.

It's actually for my bro, he's on the Sprint network. Any better suggestions now that you know?

www.wirefly.com has them for free with 2 yr contract...Otherwise ebay. It is a nice phone, I like mine

i got a blackberry pearl on Sprint, but returned it within a week. No MMS on blackberry pearl. Yeah losing GPS and a little picture quality and flash was a consideration, but i will not go back to the blackberry. The centro is awesome very much the multi-tasker. You will not regret it. It seems that the centro also loads web pages and sprint tv faster than my blackberry did and the call quality is much fuller. The blackberry sounded kind of tinny and it would drop calls too. Centro it up man....like I said you won't regret it.

Thank you so much Hawk

I have to agree with everyone else. Centro is a great phone and for the price its the best Sprint has to offer. I tried the Mogul, Moto Q and the Touch and the Centro beats all of them. Very user friendly, stable OS. Great call quality, and supports MMS. Cant go wrong.

ive had mine since friday and so far i love it. its great.

I'm 2 weeks into my new Centro and love it! Likes: 1-2 hours of talk time a day and needs a charge at end of day 2, very good layout, touch screen is perfect, reception is excellent, speaker and speaker phone are excellent, people comment on the clear voice quality. Compared to my previous BB8700g, this thing runs circles around it. Palm did an excellent job..kudos to them and Sprint.

Centro all the way. Much easier to use than blackberries + same features at alot less cost. Centro does have GPS but need to pay extra, stick with google maps.

I keep being told that Centro does NOT have GPS, if you know how to turn it on, please let me know!

Or, is there a way for Google Maps to just estimate your location like it will on some phones?

I just bought a Centro a few days ago, I'm hurting for GPS... I think I might exchange it when the Curve comes out in a few weeks...

Sorry, Centro does not have GPS. You would need to get a different phone.

Right, but what about Google Maps "My Location?" I swear I saw a setting for it before I did a reset, and now can't find it anywhere.

Either way, I've got 30 days, and the BB curve comes out before then, so if worst comes to worst, I'll exchange it.

Google is supposed to release an updated version of GMaps with "MY Location" for the Centro. Palm had to turn over some code to make it work. Shouldn't be too long I would think.

Guy that I work with goes the Google Maps thing and it knows right where he is. I thought it did it based on triangulation from cell towers around you.

I'll ask him how he does it when he gets in. I just ordered my Centro last night so should have it in a day or two.

basically, i activated a treo 600 i got off ebay for a camping trip i was going on since i didnt want to risk messing up my touch while i was there. well the screen broke in the process, realized TEP would cover it even though i wasnt the original owner of the phone and guess what? THEY REPLACED THE FREAKING PHONE FOR A CENTRO! it is a very nice upgrade.
I think I would like the centro better than the touch, though the one thing holding me back from replacing it is the fact that hotsync doesnt work on a 64 bit windows os

well I've had my palm centro for a week and I love it it doesn't have gps but I love the sprint tv and music and the touch screen loading of the web pages are sure fast I use to be with tmobile and had a wing even even I over clocked it it was slow my centro runs faster and its more stable then window mobile I reallu like being able to watch youtube videos on it.

I had a Centro on Sprint & just bought a 755p last friday. Nothing at all wrong with the Centro(aside from the pinkish-tinged screen, the sucky battery life, & the maddening LAGS which the 755 does not have), it was just too dang small for me. Great little phone if you're not a huge power user like me. If you're on the phone all the time like I am, the Centro might be too small for you. I'm like 5 feet tall with tiny elfin hands & even I found it hard to type well on.

Im looking at upgrading my UTstarcom DV007 to a Palm Centro. But I dont want to pay the $299 AUD for it. Any idea where to get an unlocked one or one I can use on Telstra NextG in Australia, which will also work in the UK as I'm moving over there in about 5 months.

Radioshack is selling centro for sprint only $69.99 and they also sell the AT&T version for $29.99.

Umm... nope. I bought my Centro at Radioshack for $69.99 a few weeks ago and got my first bill in the mail today. Nothing extra added for the phone, just the service bill plus the activation fee.
