i currently have the moto q and will be switching to att service. i love my phone, had it for 3 years now. the few things it lacks is a good camera and chain texting. other than that this phone is perfect.

any suggestions on att phones that compare to the moto q? I do not like the look or feel of the att q. it's not pretty at all and is bulky compared to my verizon q.

i've been looking at the blackjack II, bb curve, and iphone, but have yet to find one with all the features. bb curve and iphone doesn't have video. the iphone not having video really bugs me. i thought it could do EVERYTHING!

is there such a phone that has EVERYTHING?

any advice regarding unlocking phones to use with another provider? never researched this but i really like my phone!

AT&T Tilt if you're determined to buy within AT&T.

Otherwise, the best choice for an everything phone is an unlocked N95-3. Only reason I brought it up at all is because the video on the Tilt is decent, but garbage compared to the video recording on the N95-3.

the n95-3 lovers always jump in first. i second the n95-3!! you could take a new TILT and resell it for money to pay for the unlocked n95-3. though if you think the moto q9 is "bulky" then you may not like n95. though the n95 is way smaller, but its just thicker.

Get the Tilt since I favor smartphones with WiFi.

If you are going unlocked route, get the N95-3.

but it doesn't have a full keyboard. how do you type a full email on a regular phone keyboard? i tried the pearl, two letters per button and had major issues. i've had a full keyboard for about 6 years now.
i've read a lot of bad reviews on the tilt. any advice on that?

Once you learn T9, there's very few things that are easier to type with a QWERTY keyboard. As I've said numerous times, T9 is faster because of the smaller range of motion, it's more convenient since you can use it effectively with one hand, without looking, or both, and it's more convenient because it autocorrects spelling errors naturally. It'll be more of an adjustment for you if you've only ever used QWERTY (I completely understand why you wouldn't like SureType on the Pearl), but to this day I have not found a single person who can type faster than me on any other device with any other text input method. Also, miscellaneous things such as passwords and URL's that would normally be more difficult on T9 don't make a difference on S60. All of your bookmarks can be synced with your desktop and you'll only have to enter your username and password once for each website which uses them since the browser saves the information as well as the cookies (so it'll never log you out anyway). Excuse the rant, but I'm a firm believer than nobody really needs QWERTY, it's just a crutch method of typing that's marginally faster than stumbling through T9 when the user is reluctant to learn how to use it properly.

What bad things did you hear about the Tilt? The biggest issues I've heard with it were people not liking Windows Mobile and it's too bulky.

This, and most of my posts are typed on T9 on my N95-3, to give you an idea.

gotta agree that i'm a T9 person over qwerty keyboard. i make many posts with it and its just fine. even emails its fine...though a full keyboard would have its place for very long, well though out, formal emails. but then i would use a computer for that stuff anyway if it was that important. hence, on a mobile device, t9 reigns supreme!! lol
