Changing alert type for one numbe/address book entry?

Is this possible on an 8100? I basically do not want any type of alert except a missed call when a call from a particular number comes in. (My carrier does not do blocking of a particular number.) Is just choosing the ringtone of 'MUTE' enough or will the call still pop up on the screen when it comes in? Is there any way to eliminate all call alerts from a particular incoming call?
Thanks very much...

I think there are third party applications that can do something like this. I've heard of an app called Berry Blocker or something like that which lets you block calls.
I don't know of a way to completely block a call with the native setup, but what you can do is add that number to your phone book. Then, go to Profiles, Menu -> New Exception. Assign that contact and choose the Use Profile "Off" for that contact.
From then on, whenever that contact calls you, the phone should stay silent. The screen still shows the caller though, and you have the choice to answer or ignore.

The exception will take care of that. No need for a 3rd party app.

You can create a new profile and choose "mute" and no vibration for all alerts except for the phone. Or you could just edit the Normal profile and mute the other alerts.

OK. Made that exception shown above. We'll see how it works out. Is it supposed to do anything upon that incoming call?
