Another Friggin quirk...do these ever stop? Phantom BBIM waiting...but not really//OL

So check this one out.

I've heard of phantom blinking red lights., I've heard of phantom unread BBIM or Email notifications in the upper taskbar leading to no unread message...but here's a new one.

NO phantom notification in the taskbar...all there is is a red star over BBIM...but NO indication otherwise of an unread message???

HEHE...surely I've seen them all now...or have I? Why do BBs do these quirky things???

Notice no unread message notification, no red blinking light (okay ASSUME it's not there lol). If I am on another icon, it shows up red.

If I hover over the BBIM icon, all of a sudden it changes to a neutral status image.

I've confirmed and triple confirmed I have no unread BBIM message LOL. I even deleted (out of sheer curiosity), all my pending convos...still it's there. I'll wait a day or so, and then power cycle to see if that solves it.

Dunno. I don't have these problems. Could be your device. Could be your OS version. Could be the way you have notifications set up as a number of things can trigger the red LED. Could be an app that you're using. Could be the theme you're using. Etc etc...

So...after receiving the third bbim and reading it, the phantom red star went away.

Weird.
