AT&T iPhone vs Verizon Glyde

I currently will be due for a new contract in June and was doing some early research. I did the math and other than the costs of the phone, I'd be paying $40.76-$55.76 depending on activation fees of Verizon and if my dad (family plan) upgrades to a new phone. Here is the question...I love the usability and the functionality of the iPhone but it seems like the Glyde might be a suitable replacement. The Glyde hasn't officially hit the market yet but there are many stickied threads about it here . Which phone do you think is worth getting for me to keep for two years? Thanks guys!
