i got a new v3m a couple of days ago. It had ROKR software on it though? (right arrow to select a word in T9, extra menu option under settings, no way to change vibrate styles for text messages, like pulse, dot, dot dash, etc. and i only use my phone on vibrate, different icons when i make a call, different icon when changing the volume for the ringer, different txt menu) so i tried flashing it to the 1.05 monster and the flash fails at 50%-ish.

I tried flashing it to the alltel moster unplugging it at 1% rebooting and trying the vzw monstor, unplugging at 2% and rebooting. holding * & # while plugging in. nothin helps.

any ideas on what to try or is it just flat out bricked?

This might be dumb but did you try flashing with the factory firmware? Also make sure bootloaders match? and did you hold * & # and then flash?

I was getting the same results after trying to flash from 19.05 to VIVO -- I tried everything and gave up. Got a replacement phone, and flashed it from 19.07 to 1.05 to VIVO. I love it!

yeah i tried everything, i took it back and was given a replacement that smelled like turpentine and had crusty yellow keys. i called verizon tech support and got a pear 8130 for free. i have to pay the $26 a mo for unlim email and web after my discount.

i think u can hack your phone to get the web for free using a proxy server instead of verizon's server. i think if u do some heavy research, you'll find the answer.
