I am thinking about getting a Pantech PN-820 for Verizon Wireless. I want to use it with my existing family plan with no data charges. Would I be able to do this by unlocking the phone? If so, where do I go to do that?

I don't think you need to unlock it, but you will want to have Verizon disable data access. It does run Windows and will get on the Internet when you least expect it, particularly if you load any other software on it. That will add up quickly if you don't have a data plan.
