You can get a cooked up WM6.1 ROM for the Tmobile DASH from the XDA developers forum. I'm using it on my Dash right now. Works nicely.

How are you liking Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard? I have the same setup on the HTC 621 / 640 (albeit a legitimate release) but I'm actually loving Standard for a change. Thoughts?

I love this rom.
It isn't official, but i love it. The next update will be to HTC official release or to Googles new OS.

Faster, great Homescreen, works awesome with STK
I think i only installed 1 maybe 2 programs that could of came with this rom but its ok, that's why we have Storage cards

Fav 5 is now starting to get worked, to be shown on Default Homescreens. Still worth the upgrade.
Besides you dont lose your plan. You just wont have the fav 5 on homescreen, for now.

will this work on the moto q9c?

im a noob on these things...just got a dash from in-laws in the states. i'm in the philippines. how do i flash this 6.1 rom onto the dash? thankx in advance.

You can find well written guide from the xda developers' forum. http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=309

There is really no need for a guide like other cooked rom updates. Kavanas Rom upgrade is self contained and very easy to do. Everything is pretty automatic. But definitely read up on everyone's experiences before you do it.

I have Microsoft Office Mobile installed on my Dash. Will I lose that if I upgrade to 6.1?

No. It comes installed in the ROM

Might want to wait for an official release at this point. Windows Mobile 6.1 was officially released yesterday and upgrades may be available from your carrier or device manufacturer in near future.

No you would have to go back to 6.0 ROM.

Posted by: mikey1022

no...it would just reinstall 6.1 from fresh.
you would have to have a copy of the 6.0 rom and install that.
