I have a considerable amount of dust under the lens of the exterior screen on my RAZR V3i.
Now I've searched on Google but the only instructions I found were for removing the inside screen lens. Can anyone tell me how I can clean under the caller ID screen?
TIA

The thing about the outer lcd lens is that its a lot more hard to get off, in fact you have to realize that you have a chance of cracking the glass itself. Fortunately a replacement isnt very expensive off ebay and you might just want to buy and force your old one off.
What I would try is take the top apart, and get some kind of solvent (goo gone or something) and put it around the lens and light start prying it off, maybe even getting under it with a needle, very slowly and pry it off. Then clean it and put it on or glue it back on with super/gorilla glue

Thanks for the advice.
I'm looking to sell the phone which is why I ask. If I'm gonna buy a new housing then I might as well take a few bucks off the purchase price and let the buyer do it if he wishes.

It's NOT hard at all. When you remove the cover and get to the outter lcd glass, grab a thin card (I use something a bit thinner than a credit card) and start from one edge of the glass and slowly slide the card through. The glass is only stuck on by glue/double sided tape like. After you are done cleaning, replace the cover to the housing first then put the glass back on. There should be enough glue on the glass to still be able to stick back on.
