BIG PROBLEM after downloading rt with a data cable!!!

Ok I downloaded some songs with my new data cable today. Everything was good I did 2 to test it and all was well. I went back to put about 5 more songs on it. It took awhile to download and when it was done I turned to phone off and back on.
The songs from the secound download are not there.
THE BIG PROBLAM IS THIS - My text messaging is messed up!!! My incoming text messages say NO CONTENT. Not all of them but more then not. I can't send any text out!!!
Any idea PLEASE!!!!
