im kind of new to the dev key i kno lot bout phones but i just need to somebody to tell me exactly what is a dev key and what does it do for ur phone and is it worth getting ?

a dev key lets a developer run his made apps on his phone, with out u=it he can not, peolpe want them cus when u have a dev key u can switch sims an use other carriers. getn a key can be a lil hard, u can do some developn or testn for a dev which will give you a dev key.but you have to know java, it would be good to pick up a book on java then write simple program then sumit it for a dev key at the dev danger site

A developer key has nothing to do with using another carriers sim card on the sidekick.
