Flash mode for V3

Hi, can someone help me, My V3 doesnt go into flash mode no more after I flashed it, and i did the same procedure to my friends but his does go into Flash mode after that (hold * and numeral button while turning on the phone) so can someone tell what would be a way to restored this? thanks in advance.
