COU iPhone or keep my Blackjack?

Wirelessly posted (SAMSUNG-SGH-I607/UCHA1 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 6.12) UP.Link/6.3.0.0.0)

I just won a COU iPhone thru the spring incentives thing. I'm torn between switching devices or peddling it off to the highest bidder. The whole reason I went with the blackjack was my ability to use xstream for XM Radio. I'm also on redirection with Good. I love the wireless sync with outlook for my address book and calendar.

Here is the question of the day... if it says "COU iPhone" does that mean an extra COU # for the iphone or an iphone to replace my current device?

if I'm forced to choose, what way should I go?

I can't help you on your question, but I was just given my COU phone today, going to training Sunday, and I prefer my iPhone very, very much so...

Of course this is my first day with the BJII, and I have had the iPhone for two months now, but it amazes me how much more I prefer the iPhone. I know I will learn more with the BJII, but the iPhone is just amazingly seamless in all its functions.

If your top priority is the XM radio, then you gotta stay with the BJ for now.

Side track; The XM radio you stream, is it just the 20 channels? Or do you get the talk radio stations as well? I have XM in my car so I can get ESPN Radio 24/7 and MLB Home Plate, but the preview on my BJII doesn't have those channels. Thanks.

Why not just give it a test run for a week and see how you like it?

What options have you been given? Take the iPhone as your COU now or lose the chance? Or can you get it and sell it for top dollar then purchase the iPhone later when that day comes? You know, the day where you say, "that's it, I have to get the iPhone now." If you have the bug at all, it will come, it happened to me...

What size iphone did you get?

I'd gladly trade you a 16GB iphone for a new tilt.

Well there are some pretty sweet streaming music apps that are for the iPhone. There is a whole espn podcast center that will allow you to listen to the past two weeks of any program espn produces. There's flytunes, which streams all genres of music, talk and sports channels. And also there is podcaster, which will stream virtually any podcast that you would normally have to download for a regular iPod. These all work on edge just fine and dont cost anything.

You would be surprised how many web apps out there that you would find useful for the iPhone. Go to the iPhone section at the apple page and there is a list of over 1200 apps that have already come out for it. Once the native apps are out in june I would definitely opt to use the iPhone. Even right now if it were my choice I would hands down take the iPhone over BJ2. The wireless syncing may not happen and you may need to take a hit on maybe a few other things you like on the BJ2 but overall I feel that the iPhone would grow on ya.

a fellow RSC demoed flytunes to me the other day with his iP...it didn't seem to be true 'streaming' music; it was more like an hour long pre-produced playlist of music. But it sounded clean, the interface was easy to use and there were a lot of music genres to choose from.

I just wonder if you can enqueue multiple 'playlists' with flytunes so that you don't have to constantly update it when the playlist ends.

I really got used to using xstream (http://xstreamxm.com/mobile) since I'm already a paying XM subscriber. I guess if I go with the iPhone full-time I will have to carry my inno around with me.

I really hope COU is giving me another number with this so I can keep my Good redirection going. Yeah, I know the whole "you should be on the clock reading emails" spiel... I can simply turn the Good app off when I'm off the clock and my personal mailboxes are separate from work... I do keep it running, mostly for the calendar..

Choices.... The itunes wifi music store is rather intriguing....

I am not a huge fan of the iPhone right now. Maybe when the final SDK comes out.

I'm sticking with a Blackjack II as my COU because I can do more with it, like Cellspin (http://www.cellspin.net) and the Windows Live app rocks with voice search.
