Got a replacement need help with direct push?

My xv6700 nub joystick broke so vz sent me a replacement that has direct push. Now all my pop3 email is only coming to my phone and not staying on the server like it used to. I look for a settings page where I can select to leave a copy on the server but couldnt find one. Can someone please help me. it strange because I get a notification of email and I can read it if i click the notification pop up but if i go to my mail folder it isnt there and if i go to gmail i have to go to "ALL MAIL" not INBOX

How about if I rephrase the question. How do I make sure the pop3 account saves a copy on the server?
