Computer won't recognize RaZR2 V8 2gb

So i bought this v8 2gb phone a few days ago.
and when i connect it with the computer, the computer never recognizes the phone as a drive. tried every option on my phone, media sync, extended memory etc. also tried different usb slots of computer.
The phone only charges upon connection through usb. wonder if there's a way that the computer could detect the phone as a drive.
Any suggestions would be helpful. thanks!

This drove my crazy with my IPod and it's drive access on the computer. Try an installation cd that might've came with the package?

Maybe, you need P2KMan or a program like it to download things from the phone to the computer. Google P2kMan and you'll find it along with a guide.

What computer OS are you using? Windows, Linux, Mac? and what version?
if you have a very old Windows or another os need to update 1st
