As stated in the above post, I have just started playing with this, but it seems to work.

Please post your successes and failures, i.e. what works and what doesn't. Although many of the menu items work only on GSM phones, there may be some new features that can be enabled. However, even if a given firmware does support a particular feature, there is most likely a corresponding seem edit to actually enable it, and finding that edit isn't likely, especially if none of the cdma firmwares have it enabled by default.
Even so, this should be a useful tool for creating custom mma_ucp files with the known working features
