Help with a V3M Please.....

Hello Everyone. How are you all. I am a complete newb and I have stumbled onto this great website. The question that I have is this one, as I am unfamiliar with phone hacks and programming.
At the current moment I have Helio service, I used to have Ampd, can I use the V3M from my Ampd days and have it work on Helio and also can I get it to Thether?(spelling) I know I should have searched some more but when I started reading all of this information on this site about the Drift (samsung sph-a503) to see if I could get internet my mind went blank after 30 or so pages. I fear the same will happen with razr forum lol.
However if there is anyone kind enough to instruct me on how to change the V3m to Helio's network and get internet, or know how to get the Drift to get internet I would be extremely greatful.
