I have been playing with the original white Hynudai W100 TRIBAND watch phone for a while last year. It was fun using all the features included. As I did on our newsletter's review last year, it is not a perfect watch phone but definitely something important as an innovator.
But very quickly the stocks were sold out and cannot even get them back in the inventory. Yesterday, I was informed that the new black color is available and I quickly get it on hand and take some photos to share with you guys.
For those who have no idea about this gadget phone. Hyundai W100 is a phone with camera, MP3, touchscreen, and included an A2DP Bluetooth headsets. So if we are talking about features, this little gadget is definitely packed with everything you wanted.
In the package it also comes with 2 batteries, in case it ran out in the middle of daily use. It is indeed very thoughtful.

The shape of the A2DP Bluetooth headset is a bit odd, but it can be magnetically snap together when not in use. And most importantly, it came with the package.

1.3 MP camera is located at the top of the watch. For the tiny screen and everything being so compact, 1.3 mega pixel it is not bad at all. The W100 also has the Micro SD memory slot for you to store your picts and MP3 songs. Yeah, everything in that compact watch size thing.

The stylus is attached in a slot with the watch (fascinating
) and we can use it to do the touchscreen action for menu selections.

The screen is sharp and clear.

Menu screen is small but simple enough for you to choose what you wanted.

Yes, a MP3 player is included and you can listen to your music through the included A2DP headsets. Well of course if you want to use another pair of Sony DS980, it is your choice.

This watch phone thing keeps reminding me the old spy movies that you use a watch to talk with the other spy and take photos with it at the same time. Is it the inspiration of making a phone like this? I am not sure.
At the end, for the price and the degree of fun, the watch phone is definitely something you should consider using as a second phone. That is also why it sold out so quickly last time.
For US users, it is a Triband phone. Please make sure your operator supports GSM 1900 to use this phone.

Hi ffinder,
As far as I know, The Hyundai W100 is actually OEMed by CECT, and that is why they look exactly the same. However, if softwarewise they are different, I am not sure.
One important thing to note though, The CECT version is a China version that only has GSM900 and 1800. The Hyundai version is a Triband. Well it really depends on where you would like to use it.
Anyway it is a fun watch phone.

Hey there,
Just wondering if anybody has a digital copy of the English user manual. I picked one of these up in China, and got bamboozled (long story) into buying a used one that didn't come with A) a manual B) a stylus (fell out of the band) C) working watchband (basically, the retaining clips are broken, so the watch doesn't stay in the band.
I'm going to try to get around the watchband/stylus issues (unless someone knows somewhere online where I could purchase a replacemend band w/stylus), but I can't seem to find any manuals online.
Thanks!

Thank you again, ffinder. I did find the stylus that goes with my watch. I also joined their forum and posted in hopes of being able to find a replacement watchband w/stylus. One step closer, thanks!

FI, I placed order for the CECT W100 since last Nov 2007 and still I've not receive my watch despite numerous email exchanges
The reason given was the Chinese watch maker has pushed back the date line
My goodness - a watch which is 6 months old and is still waiting to be released?
Nowadays, there're so many chinese watches released into the market by different makers. A 6-month old watch will be considered obsolete once it's released, right?

Anyone know where I can get a wrist band for the M600? Can I just use a standard one that's for a regular wristwatch?

i broke the wrist band of my M700 and replaced it with a similar casio wrist band (don't know the model) i just made a hole for the stylus and it was ok..
