Hey guys, I've just moved to Tokyo and the 705p is the only phone you can get thats not on contract, so I've got myself one. Loving the phone but wanted to know a few things, does anyone know how to get downloaded java games onto the phone? I have the usb cable and a 1gig card. If anyone knows some Windows software where you can browse all the phones dirs maybe I would be able to just drop the downloaded games where they need to be. Any ideas would be a big help.

Second thing I wanted to know does it support mp3 ringtones if not is there another file extention that I could use to get better ringtones than ****** midis.

Oh and before you say vist a website on the phones Internet dont bother as a pay-as-you-go sim wont let you go on the internet, it only has email.

Thanks

z3ek.

Japanese phones don't let you transfer Java games via USB cable or memory card. You can only put them on by downloading them via WAP. As you're on prepaid, you won't be able to do that.

Same for ringtones - Japanese phones don't let you load MP3 or other digital ringtones. You have to buy Chaku-uta over the air (which you can't do on prepaid), or make ringtones in SMAF format. Go to the Sharp forum to learn more about making SMAF ringtones (they should generally work the same way for the 705Px, but I'm not 100% sure).
