I've had my BB Curve 8310 for a few months now and after getting settled in to the new OS I thought I would be content. Unfortunately I'm not. The more I think about it the more I miss my Treo 750. Sure the camera wasn't the best but the OS (IMHO) was awesome. I loved the home screen and the ability to customize it. My Curve has a pretty lame home screen (even with the unlocks of other providers).
I like to look at my phone and know that I have an appointment at a certain time/date. Even with the Vodaphone theme I still find it hard to keep track of appointments. I'm also not a huge fan of the checkbook programs that are currently available for the phone. I had my treo configured to where I could look at any time and see my current balance just by looking at the home screen. Perhaps I'm nitpicking, but a lot can be said for ease of use. My Curve doesn't excel in that department for me.
Can anyone recommend another way of setting up the phone perhaps that would make it more convenient? Otherwise I might be switching back to the treo.

Unfortunately, the PIM features for the blackberry are poor at best. WebIS is working on Pocket Informant but it is still in beta. You can also try PocketDay by Cross River Systems. There isn't a nice customizable home screen replacement though. You can see if a Today or Today Plus theme is available as I've found these to be the best. Also, shortcuts are a big help, "L" for the calendar, brings you to the agenda, month week, whatever view.
I use a RIM 8800 and tried using blackberry connect on a AT&T Tilt but it just wasn't as nice in a few key areas such as battery life. If I didn't need to have a blackberry for corporate email, I'd probably go with a Motorola Q9h or the Tilt.
