Best Way To Unlock Nowadays....

Hi,

I've been out of the loop for a while now since I've sold my iPhone

However, I've agreed to unlock a brand new one for my friend, and so I have come to you guys once again for some advice.

I was wondering; nowadays, what is the best way to unlock a new, untouched, out of the box iPhone, using a mac.

Last time I unlocked one, jailbreakme was the main method used. So, I was wondering if you guys could direct me to the safest/easiest ways to unlock an iPhone. (Ive read about ZiPhone/iPlus, but reading about them hasn't given me enough information to actually put my friend's phone in jeopardy yet...)

Thank you guys so much,
Jz687

Just use ziphone, the risks are minimal... i have unlocked 6 phones with ziphone, and have never once had a problem...

Yes, you can't go wrong with ZiPhone. I would also consider iPlus. Unlocking is just too easy nowadays...I remember the days when I had to use Putty to unlock my OTB 1.1.1 and it made me nervous as hell!

Why dont you do a proper search before starting a new thread. You will get the same kind of replies as you would have found in hundreds of other threads.

If you would have asked a specific person and stick to his opinion then its a different story.

You have 2 options. Pick the one that you feel comfortable with.

So, Ziphone works with any firmware OTB?
Just plug the brand new iPhone in and go?
