it was working before i installed kaiser tweaks. when i hit the internet button i get the home page, but if i put in any web page, say yahoo.com for example, it says the current connection cannot be used for your request. please end the current connection and try again. i did remove att bloatware and install the htc home plugin, but again it was working even still untill i put teh tweaks on. any advice?

Check the proxy setting again. That should not be checked AFAIK.

Man, I've been having the same problem but no one responded to my post. Apparently this is a known problem. I assume your Pocket IE works via WiFi.

Even "hard resets" to factory install do not get rid of the problem. I think hard resets sometimes leaves the old dll files back on the Tilt. The only true way to get a "true factory default" is to reflash the phone and this will void your Tilt warranty with ATT (I think....please correct me if I am wrong)

EDIT: 911PM Eastern Time

I solved my problem!! I was reluctant to do this but a guy on the official ATT forum said all he did was had his data plan removed and than resetted by Customer service and than had his old data plan put back into place and his internet explorer started working again.

The reason I was reluctant was because I am on a "non-authorized" media max 200 plan for $19.99 and did not think I could re-add on this same plan.
However, I called deleted the media max plan online and thought I could re-add on via my OLAM. Well I tried the OLAM and it gave me an error message refusing to let me add on.

I called CS and I gave them my IMEI number of my Motorola V3xx and they re-added my mediamax 200 plan back on tonight. The pocket internet explorer starting working again over 3G.

My problems started when I updated to the new ATT ROM and than added the HTC home plugin.

I'm just happy the Tilt's working again. I was going to return it again the second time because of this issue. I'm never going to touch any HTC home plugin, tweak etc anymore. I just want to use my slingbox on the Tilt and a couple of medical programs. The tweaks and HTC home screens are nice but not worth having Pocket IE malfunction.

My advice, factory reset the Tilt (you can reset to the HTC software and get rid of the ATT bloatware).

Call CS and have them remove the data plan and than have them re-add the data plan back on.

It worked for me.
