What's up everyone? First post here, although I've been lurking for quite some time when I was looking at buying a Samsung S300.

Anyway, my bro is looking for a decently priced (<200) phone and I suggested the Panasonic GD55 because of it's size and he likes the idea of a speakerphone. I've seen it on eBay for around 160 bucks unlocked. Has anyone used this on the Cingular network? I know my Samsung S300 was configurable so it would work and it's great, was just wondering if the same could be said for the GD55.

Also, are you happy with the phone and would you recommend it? If not, what phone would be advisable? Thank you so much in advance. I really value this forums knowledge. This forum helped me decide on the s300 and how to figure out how to completely configure my girls VX4400. Thanks again!!

I'm currently using a GD55 with Cingular w/o any problem. A good quality phone for that price range.

Thanks Gundie, that's kinda what I figured after reading a few threads on the phone itself. I didn't find anything about people using Cingular though and because you're in So. Cal too, I'll have him get that one.

Thanks again.

Glad I can help.
