Excessive internet usage

Ever since I got my blackjack, my internet usage has skyrocketed. It went from about 23MB to 86MB, and I'm only 6 days into my cycle and have blown thru 36MB.

Is there an ERP policy stating how much internet you can use before they flag for excessive usage? I've looked, but can't find anything. I'm on the PDA plan, not just media net, but I know I am going to exceed a gig this month, especially since I've found an awesome site to stream music on my blackjack.

No cap/limit for PDAs and phones on unlimited data plans.

5GB "soft cap" per month for data cards and tethered-phone plans.

Even assuming the 5GB cap applies to your plan (and it doesn't), you're still nowhere close to hitting it. At your present rate of usage, you'll hit about 430MB by the end of your billing cycle.

By contrast, I've used 1679.91MB of data this month on my laptop card. I'm 22 days into my billing cycle.

alright, I didn't think so, but I just wanted to be sure since I use TCPMP, mundu and have my email checked like, every hour during the week...plus I surf it myself and use google maps often. I can't help it, Im an internet addict!

E-mail is going to use up the least of your bandwidth, so don't even worry about that. it's amazing how little e-mail uses, being mostly text anyway. Google maps is also relatively light on usage, and web browsing isn't even so big a deal, as long as the site you visit conform to current web standards (a lot of web content is transported using compression when possible anyway, to speed throughput and limit the site's own hosting/bandwidth costs).

Video will take up the lion's share of bandwidth, but again, if the usage you've shown so far is typical, it's still nowhere near the point where it will raise eyebrows.

well, I've always used at least 20MB of internet, but then it tripled in the past month or so, but, its from getting a new phone, so, I think it should be ok if it stays consistant.

Lately my usage has been around 1.5-2gb a month on my mediamax plan. Some people on these forums are using 30gb+. You are fine.

Line 1 Currently: Used 1612.71MB of Unlimited.

Line 2 Currently: Used 485.54MB of Unlimited.

According to COU, I used about 200MB last month.. I do a lot of Xstream (XM Online) and I have Good Messaging running all day...

Where are you guys looking to find cou usage?

Posted by: classylady78

Whenver I check my COU usage it says I have unlimited left but won't tell me how much I used.

Log onto the COU site. It will tell you everything you would never want to know.

I'm logged in currently but I can not find anything having to deal with my usage at all.

I used 645MB last month! I also do a lot of streaming (Orb, Resco Radio) and WiFi tethering to my laptop when I need/want to.

If you are on the COU site, view your details.. will list your #, name, phone, and a "U" in the far right edge of the line for usage. click on that..

I racked up almost a gig in a session, heh, how? tether'd a tilt playing the super bowl on a laptop.... At my att kiosk no less! kept giving me streaming problems, so I thought it was the tilt, turns out I had to decrease the upload coming from my computer, only had the 1.5mbps DSL at the time got 6.0 now

30GB+ on a COU or ERP line? I used a lot of data on my COU line last month (3.4 GB) does anybody think this will be flagged?

Does the ERP plan include unlimited data?
