Razr2 V9 firmware updates and Seem edits

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere...

If you have implemented some Seem edits and then install a new firmware version, do you have to redo the seem edits?

Yes because the software update overwrites the current firmware with the new updated firmware.

if its a complete Sbf file ie: monster pack / super file, which contains the LP and flex, then yes it will wipe it clean. if its just a reflash, which has no flex and language packs in it, then it will not reset your seem edits. you might as well re=install them because the flexes change periodicly, to fix previous bugs in the firmwares.

I am really a nOOb when it comes to this phone flashing and stuff... that being said... I did a complete backup at the 8 minute of use mark in both shx and fb3 formats...

I haven't had time to do anything else yet with all the reading I've been doing to get this right.

So another question. If I f' up, am I protected as much as possible with those 2 backup files?

And, are there any recommended 'must do's' as far as modding the Rogers V9?
