Please don't flame me for asking this question... I've already done some extensive searching and wasted many hours in several different forums on this question to which everyone seems to already know the answer.

I'm interested in flashing the latest WM6.1 ROM with GPS and Rev.A to my XV6800. I've read through XDA-developers Wiki on upgrading, and it clearly states that to flash a new ROM to your device, it needs to be CID unlocked. What they left out is how does one go about CID unlocking their phone????? There is little to no information in any of the forums I've searched

Is there some hack, or is there some magical unlocking program one needs to download or purchase to CID unlock the phone. Does it have to be specific to Verizon XV6800? I don't really care to SIM unlock the phone either.

Please somebody in the know clue me in so I can happily go about screwing around with my phone like everyone else. Thanks!

CID is like ur MSL i think. which is 000000 that is six 0s

or they meen your phone boot loader has to be unlocked so use the olpi 2.30 or w/e it is to unlock the boot loader and then you can run the radio update and then the WinMo 6.1
