Where can I get a voice ringtone that says "SMS" or "BBM"

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

See the above title. I want to set my Blackberry to say the words "SMS" or "BBM" when I get one or the other. Has anyone else done this?

I already use the AOL "You've Got Mail" tone for my incoming e-mail on all three accounts. It's attached to this thread if you want it!

AT&T Labs Text-to-Speech

spell with phonics - and even more creative spellings.

"BB Messenger" should be spelled "bee bee mesinjer" for Crystal to say it correctly, although other voices will need altrernate spellings.

Oh, bummer ... it hasn't been working all day. Is there another place to do this?

How do you make the BB do this? Just import it to the phone and set as a alert?

WorldFamousSam - there may be some other text-to-speech options elsewhere, but none i can endorse (as i haven't used them). this one is quite convenient and easy to use - when it's functional. i can say that this is the first occasion i've ever seen it down.

Brewc - (it's been some time since i last used this, so my memory may be hazy and a bit off.) once the app is up again, and you're satisfied with your vocal tweaks and the finished results, choose "DOWNLOAD" and you'll be able to save the audio clip (.wav format, me thinks, or .mp3) straight from your browser - or it may create a link which you which you copy/paste into your browser which may then prompt for download. then just copy it to your 'berry using your preferred transfer method (DM, BT, mass storage, etc.)!

hopefully it will be up and running soon.

for now: bee_bee_mesinjer.wav

You could always just record a Voice note of what you want it to say, move it to your Ringtones folder with your computer, and set that as your ring tone...

That works fine on my pearl.
