Free Voice Dial Program for Treo 755p

I guess that's my question. LOL Does anyone know of any programs that we don't have to pay for to put on the Treo 755p for voice activated dialing? I think it's ridiculous that the cheapest phones have this feature built in but the $600 Treo doesn't. LOL Just funny to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Did you install the software on the CD? Once you register your palm treo, you will have access to the free voice dialing software.

VX,

The Palm Desktop Software is installed. Will that give me access to a trial period for that program or is it completely free? Thanks!

Go to "My Treo" on your 755p. (I think you will have to register first from here.)

There are 3 tabs, go to "Bonus" and you will see a few bonus software that you can install. By clicking on "more info" for each app, you will see that some are free, and some are services that you will need to pay for. "VoiceDial" is at the bottom of that list, and it is free.

I was advised not to install it, because there were so many reports of it causing problems on the 755p. Did you install it Del? That might have been just a Sprint issue...but once I was warned by French I steered away.

iT IS JUST SICKENING THAT WE SPEND ALL THE MONEY WE DO ON A PDA OR SMARTPHONE, AND THEN WE HAVE TO SPEND MORE FOR WHAT WE NORMALLY GET ON A REGULAR PHONE !!!

I have a TREO and a blackjack...and Yes niether has voicedial unless I pay for it.

Does anyone know of a smartphone or pda that comes with factory installed voice dial????

I'd say give it a try first, you could always hard reset and restore from your backup if it does cause a problem. It's not something I really need so when I was told of the difficulties people were experiencing it was no need for me to try it. It could work fine for you, so don't assume it won't work for you until you've tried it.

Actually, no, I didn't install it. I had originally set up my phone to use the Favorites keys, so just tapping and holding a key allowed me to dial really easily. And now that I have TAKEphONE with the i-Bar, it's even easier to dial a phone number.

After seeing this post, I did decide to install it to try it out. But, after seeing how much memory it took up, I decided to uninstall it.

I really don't need that feature that much.

Same here, I just don't need it so I never installed it to see if I'd have trouble with it. But for those of you who feel you need it, give it a try and let us know.
