What is the largest capacity memory card that can be used, without going error on me? I currently have a 2gb but need more (v)rooom! TIA

I have an 8 gig card but I have seen in other forums that 12 gigs work fine. I've seen them at some sites, but I'm waiting for the 16 gig cards this summer. Good luck

8GB works perfectly, you just need the drivers is all. MiniSDHC I've only seen up to 4GB, but keep in mind you can get a 8GB MicroSDHC + MiniSD adapter

Thanks for the replies guys. I think I will go with the 8GB for now, maybe upgrade to the 16 when they come out later on....
I already have two adapters, got them in a couple of 2GB "mobility packs".
But where can I get the drivers for the 8 gig (UTStarcom PPC6700)? Does it matter if it is a SDHC? The manufacturer is of no help at all, they said it cannot be SDHC and can't be bigger than 2GB. Yeah, right....

There's a download link for the driver here.

If you're feeling brave, I recommend you get Helmi's Apache kitchen and upgrade that phone to WM6, it is sooo much better phone with the kitchen.

The manufacturer was right, it's only up to 2GB, but those folks pull off some pretty good magic tricks and get a lot put of these phones

Thanks for the links marcusa, bookmarked both.
I'm going to dl the driver tonite then steer over to ebay and invest in a bigger card, but I think I am going hold off on the kitchen right now, not that brave yet. Soon though.... again, thanks for the heads up on both.

I Second the advice to update your ROM with Helmi's Apache kitchen. I'm using the 6.1 version and it has the Driver built in. If you do use it though, please donate. I have and its the right thing to do since they have put in so much work. Try it first. If you like it, donate.

Good luck.

Sound advice Drewidian. I didn't include it in my profile, but I also have an iPaq 111 so I know the WM6 OS is crankin', but they don't make enough beer for me to try the upgrade yet....maybe later....thanks....
