My phone works no you tube, google, etc..

I activated using Ziphone.

did you set up the edge in settings -> general -> network -> edge?

internet2.voicestream.com for total addon and wap.voicestream.com (i think) for t-zones

I set up as you said. Here at home, I have 5 bars on my phone, but no edge. As I was driving around yesterday, I did have edge in places?

How does edge work with TMobile? Is it connected to my service? I sit here at home and can't use YouTube, etc.

You will see the 'E' regardless if you are subscribed or not. Once you subscribe to a data plan (T-Mobile), then you can add the wap.voicestream.com under the Edge settings and they should work. If not, just hit reset network settings.

What if I have blackberry plan, what proxy should I use for tmobile?

Dude... first get a Tmo data plan. Take the $20 total internet plan and setup your settings as per lildragon1202 mentioned.
