New Blackberry? When?

Ive been trying to search around, but nothing official on when to expect a AT&T release. I believe we are getting a 9xxx model? That includes 3g gps etc etc.

I have been waiting a long time to switch back to BB and I am thinking of getting a curve until the new model shows up. If I do get one soon, will I be able to keep my PIN and contacts once I get a new model? This would be easier than getting all my friends PINs.

Everything is still in the rumor stage on the 9000 series. Your guess is as good as anyone's right now.

PINs are specific to each device. You can't swap the PIN from one BB to another. If you have their PINs loaded in your address book, then you could sync with Outlook or similar supported application and then whenever you get the new device, sync it with Outlook and the contact info will come over.

I don't think we'll get much insight until they have that convention in Miami again. Was it in May last year? I don't even remember.

It's because, as always, there's no official info until at&t makes an official release announcement.

It's still all rumors and speculation at this point. I doubt the final design is even nailed down. Given the current lines it seems doubtful that one model will have everything. They're certainly going to keep a line without camera for their corporate user base that requires it.

Contacts -- yes, of course. PIN, no. A PIN is tied to the hardware.

Basically, I would just need to re-ping everybody instead of putting all of their info in? I would just save the pins to my sim card?

Tentatively in June.

And it looks pretty darn sweet. I have the BB8820 done up by ColorwarePC but it will become the backup BB when the 9000 hits. June I hope and before the lame iPown 3G comes out.

So my dad just got back from a business trip. He isn't big into cell phones (has a company Pearl) but he told me about the new phone he saw. He said it is called the Raptor. Supposedly full touchscreen with a hidden full keyboard (can't remember if he said fold-out or slide).
I searched here and on google and nothing came up, so I thought I would mention it though I'm sure some of you may know. Sounds cool to me, and I know he wants to buy one when it comes out.

Is there a definite model number for this one yet?
