IMAP (built-in client) feature questions / SE models

I have a couple of IMAP feature questions. Not sure how to easily find the answers (especially to the first question, I've looked on the 'net) —

a) In which SE mobile phone models does the built-in IMAP client include folder subscriptions? That means, aside from just accessing INBOX, how about sub-folders, Sent folder, and the like?

b) Similar question to (a), how about Push-IMAP support in the built-in IMAP client?

c) I believe they started to include the SMTP Auth (authenticated SMTP) feature at some point, I'm not sure when/where.

I run my own email server and use imaps (i.e. SSL connection mode) to access it from the phone; need smtp_auth though, and would really really like to start using IMAP folder subscriptions. Can I do that in the K-series models, and exactly which ones? (My older K-series handsets, thru K750i, can't do it Thanks! Larry.

a) I Have never seen it in all the SE's iv dealt with -- maybe in the smart phones (p1 ?)..

b) I never used it until recently (just in the past 6 months), but k790 and w580 has it.

c) All phones that Iv messed with (and used the email functions) has SMTP auth for TLS and SSL so w810 w580 k790

BUT The mail client in these phones are stupid... Mine freezes the EDGE connection (thats always open because of the push). I cant go 6 hours without having to manually close the data connection or restart the phone to get the data connection to be live again. -- This is why im thinking about goin to a N95 or N82 (I use a lot of email and need to have it work) I tried searching and searching on a fix for this (tried everything). It may be that the i phone is really stretching there edge network to its limits.

Thanks Matt! I've been on a K750i for over a year (tried a K700i previously, after
a few other previous models owned) ... all they had was SMTP w/o auth; and, can
only access INBOX. It's useful just for checking email, can't really respond or file
messages into sub-folders (or retrieve a message from a subfolder).

I've got a K550i coming in, to replace my current model. If we can't subscribe to
IMAP sub-folders, then I'll have to just migrate my usage to the gmail J2ME app
(unless I can find another free one, to do IMAP subscriptions). Larry

there java app works good, but I wish it had a IMAP push alert built in...

Im thrilled that they finally added google apps for your domain mail support to it.

I just got a new K550i, and the SMTP Auth is fully implemented (with the options of TLS and SSL), hooray!!

IMAP folder subscriptions are not implemented. I know that would be a very major UI upgrade, for the email client.

Not having actually used the "Copy Outgoing" email message feature — I think it's too cumbersome (I just want to do an IMAP copy to the Sent folder on the server; not a local message copy, and not a cc or bcc).

The Push Email feature is in this model; it does work! Larry.

I wonder how I can get the "Edit" post buttons, that I recall from the past.
There's probably a good reason I don't see it (right now it says, "You may
edit your posts"), no time to chase this down.

Anyway, I was gonna say, in the Advanced Email options menu, it has just the
right basic choices for Incoming and Outgoing server settings ... port numbers
(which I use / custom port numbers, deliberately), login id, and the option of TLS
or SSL.
