I had media max on my razr2 before I got the iphone, and the wife had the 1400text 5mb media.net bundle on her line (Samsung Sync), which is the primary line.

I tried to change it on the web, but it said I can't make changes to the account since I have an iPhone. I popped my SIM into a Razr V3 and tried again, same results.

I then called customer service and they were able to make the changes. I had them remove the media.net bundle on the primary line and replace it with family unlimited text for $30, and remove media max and replace it with unlimited media for $15 on the secondary line (iPhone) for an overall increase of $10 per month.

After the change was made, I logged on and saw the changes, and it no longer said that I can't make changes due to having an iPhone. However, when I swapped the SIM back to the iPhone and logged in again, I can see my current plan and features but cannot make any changes due to having an iPhone. Interesting...

I have noticed the same thing. Leave the SIM in your your Razr and leave the phone on overnight, your account will revert back to a non-iPhone account. It has happened to me repeatedly. If the SIM is in my Tilt overnight, my account is fine, if it's in my iPhone, my account shows that it's an iPhone account. I'm using the MediaMax plan with no issues so far.

Cool. Thanks for the tip. I decided to go the unlimited family text and unlimited media on the iphone since my wife texts a lot, and now I can too!

I've been using the Media Maxx Unlimited 200 package. A day before I got my refurb, I called it in and added this in. I just checked in OLAM and it shows that I have it on my account...and still shows that I'm using my RAZR.

Yeah, for device it still says Razr on mine too, but when you go in to try to make changes to the features, it will say you can't because you have an iphone

Ahh, I see where you are referring to. Makes sense.

They can obviously tell what phone we're using at any time, so hopefully they wont come up w/ a policy that will prevent us from using unlimited media.net/media max plans instead of an iphone plan.

Does visual voicemail work with the non-iphone plans?

Posted by: SimTech

And the difference between media max 200 and the iPhone plan is.....??? 1 penny?

Visual VM does not work with non iphone plans. SimTech, you're missing the point, the reason the people on this thread are not on the iPhone plan is simple: the phones are jailbroken and not under 2 year contracts.

Also, iPhone plans start at $20 w/ only 200 texts. Media.net unlimited is $15 per line and unlimited family text is $30. For $10 more your primary line gets unlimited text, and you're not limited to 200 texts. The iPhone plan with unlimited texts is $40, which is only $5 less than $30 family unlimited text and $15 unlimited data.

Basically this way your primary line gets $5 unlimited text.

Right now I'm using the blackberry plan so I can switch between my Blackberry Curve and the iPhone.
