Hello everyone, I should be picking up my iPhone in the next few days and had a few questions about jailbreaking it.
Can i jailbreak it anytime? Can i use it for a bit then if i decide to jailbreak it, do it?
If something messes up, can it be restored to just like i pulled it out of the box? I keep seeing people say factory restore, is that like how you do the restore on the Ipods?
Are there really any cons of jailbreaking, like with signal or have problems using the at&t network? or bricking the iphone?
thanks for the help

You can jailbreak at any time. There's really no cons to doing so IMO. You can definitely restore if things get messed up.

I did this exact same thing. Activate the phone through iTunes. Then used ZiPhone to jailbreak only. Not had an issue yet.

Answers are as follows:
Yes. Yes. Yes (if it is a 4.6 stock bootloader and you did not downgrade using Ziphone - search for more details). Factory restore means restore to stock state (out of box from Apple). A con is if you jailbreak you void your warranty from Apple - not really an issue unless if you cannot retore to factory state, you have to have it replaced by Apple, and Apple is able to verify that you jailbroke it - not likely to happen, as you can usually restore. If not, you can always use the microwave method to fry the phone. Do a search if you ever need to brick the phone. Jailbreaking should not end up in creating signal problems, problems with AT&T network, or bricking the phone - at least not if you use current methods - Ziphone or iPlus. If you do have problems, you can always retry the jailbreak method - just remember that if you need to rejailbreak, set up the phone as a new phone and do not restore from previous settings, as that usually creates various issues, such as bad signal, no sound, etc. Those issues can be fixed by jailbreaking again. Overall, it is pretty safe.
