Service bars??

I was having problems getting signal in my new house so i installed the wi-ex 510 dual band cel booster. It seems to be working fine BUT my phone W810i and my wife's, K550i (both on AT&T) will jump from full service to no bars while standing still.

AT&T customer service said that i'm in an area with modertae coverage (not ideal) - but i disagree.

Thoughts?

Anybody? My wife is a little pissed that i spent over 300 bucks for zboost and we still have problems.

Most of those boosters don't start doing anything until you've initiated a call...so the signal will suddenly jump once you hit the talk button or whatever.

As it is, the "bars" are arbitrary and usually not even linear. I rarely trust those bars.

well we're also experiencing dropped calls.............

Got a link to the product you bought?

We have this installed at home:

Works quite well.

the power output on something like that is not going to be worth much.

Sounds like you are just in between towers in a "hand off" area. Other than buying an antenna you can plug into the phone (and on the 810 there is a spot, but you would have to install a k750 cover to get to it) your gonna be SOl.. I wouldn't put much stock in any @ home booster. Trying to get att to even go look at a tower that is having issues (if thats it) is just a hair UNDER impossible.

Not trying to rain on your day, just sayin whats real.
